Looking for signs of intelligent life. Mixed results so far. Is Can the best we can do for comic relief? I don't suppose we ought to expect much from someone with carbonated sugar water between the ears, but the role could be better played. It would be really nice to see both candidates agree that since neither side has a convincing mandate, whoever takes office should adopt a far more moderate platform than the ones we heard in the campaigns. I don't expect it to happen, though. We are not exactly dealing with a pair of great statesmen here.
