Intriguing article----would like to follow up on one point. You mentioned Hilary going into Senator Byrd's office. Was this for a blessing? Was this to secure the committee assignments she wants? Was this to lay her calling card on the table?

Remember that this time around West Virginia went for Bush and not Gore. West Virginia imo is no longer the Democrat contolled populace that it once was. IMO the reason had several facets----Bush's promises on looking at the use of coal in someway again for energy; and W. Va.'s rather conservative populace being very disgusted with the desecration of the oval office.

Will Senator Byrd help Hilary in her legislative efforts?? The only way he would help her is if he thinks she should be President notice "should".

Regarding electoral college votes----it appears to me that Senator Byrd's home state would suffer if the electoral college is eliminated. W. Va. does not have the population that some states have hence the electoral college has assisted it in having a little larger voice than it would based upon popular vote.

So, would Byrd support Hilary in something which is detrimental to his own home state??

Any thoughts on how Byrd and Hilary will work together or not together?

Is Hilary running for President----fairly obvious. If I were advising her I would tell her to divorce Bill. She would then have a majority of the female vote in the nation---liberal and conservative. If she persists in staying married to him she would campaign from a position of weakness----staying married to a womanizer and tolerating his womanizing is weakness not strength.

Of course, she could say I love him irregardless and I forgive him-----that won't buy her votes----that is the long suffering syndrome that women have been under for centuries. It no longer fits.
