Lonestar, Frankly I agree with you that over the long term there is no better place to be invested then silicon, and hence silicon companies.

But in the short term (<6 mos to a year) I speculate with over and under valued companies with part of my nestegg.

For a buy and hold guy like you, I think all the top Silicon companies are good investments - no doubt about it. Good luck.
