Hey, Ron, what about all those votes that were thrown about in counties where minorities lived, in particular blacks?
Last night on the news, the journalist reported that 1 in 3 ballots in those counties were thrown out in contrast to 1 in 14 ballots in predominately white counties.
To make matters worse, the instructions that were sent to the people in the counties where so many ballots were thrown out were incorrect. Prior to the election the people were instructed to vote on every page. When they got to the voting booth the ballot was set up differently so if they had voted on every page they would have done "an overvote" according to the news.
Well, here we go again, Florida Election Officials tell us how sorry they are that they made another mistake, but of course, even though there were problems here, and irregularities elsewhere such as in Seminole, we couldn't possible throw out the votes now could we?
I don't see this as a vote for Gore.
Bush will win. Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist, The Chief Justice of The United States Supreme Court, will make sure that Bush will win. He's already said so, in my opinion.
As far as the voter problem, The Justice Department looks into the matter. I wonder what they will say especially since Requenheist has more or less handed the Presidency to Bush.
Maybe the Justice Department will be afraid to say anything that might get them into trouble with The US Supreme Court.
The cracks in democracy in the US grow larger with each passing day.
But in the end, I think you'll get Bush. I've always said I thought he's win.

PS: Yes, I believe there are some fine lawyers. I've watched Pam Carlin from Stanford on PBS. She's a legal scholar. If I misspelled her last name, I apologize. I think her mind is as clear as a flawless diamond. I also admire Mr. Yoo from Berkeley. I'm not sure if I spelled is name correctly either. (I'm just not a good speller). Mr. Yoo clerked for The Chief Justice, I believe. |
