Wah.Post poll......Slightly more than half--53 percent--of those interviewed said they want the U.S. Supreme Court to allow the counting to continue, while 43 percent disagree. The high court voted 5-4 in favor of granting an emergency appeal from Texas Gov. George W. Bush and ordered an immediate halt to the counting on Saturday, one day after the Florida Supreme Court ordered the hand tally of about 43,000 ballots by a 4-3 margin.

Most Americans remain confident that the U.S. Supreme Court will rule impartially on whether the hand recount should resume after hearing oral arguments today. But skepticism about the high court is growing, with one in three saying they had little or no confidence that the justices "will be fair to both sides,"--including nearly half of all Democrats, the poll found.
