InfoSpace is providing a comprehensive, private-labeled solution for Cincinnati Bell Wireless' Internet service, optimized and deployed under the Cincinnati Bell Wireless brand. The SMS-based services are not dependant upon the purchase of new digital phones, allowing large existing bases of digital phones to accelerate the market penetration rates for InfoSpace's wireless platform.
"InfoSpace's platform of wireless services offered us a way to quickly get an SMS-based mobile Internet service up and running and, most importantly, to offer best-of-breed services to our customers," said Karl Weidner, general manager for Cincinnati Bell Wireless.
"This agreement with Cincinnati Bell Wireless is a testament to the flexibility of the InfoSpace platform, and its ability to run over any standard or device," said Arun Sarin, InfoSpace CEO. "We've helped several carriers overseas roll out SMS-based services, and we're now pleased to further demonstrate the InfoSpace platform's ability to power SMS-based services in the United States."
