Some of the best investment minds in the world believe that gold is being manipulated, from Harry Schultz to John Murphy-famous CNBC tech analysis guru ( that's the Murphy who never played football with his helmut off to you GATA detractors)...And Greenspan's famous statement that Central Banks stand ready to lease gold if the POG should rise?...Many fail to see the effect that their education has had on their anti-gold bias. Whole generations now believe that gold is a hindrance in the actions of Central Banks, rather than a wall of defense against the spending abuses of corrupt governments. Look at college banking textbooks from the late 19th century which emphasize the role of gold in sound banking practices, to those of today which talk of the wise use of govt. debt as reserves and derivatives to maximize a return on those reserves...
It may be education that is that great conspirator here, where the "educated"
walk thru life carrying out the message of the master...All so that govts. need'nt maintain a currency that has intrinsic and lasting value, and that the value of the people's savings can be stolen by currency devaluation...
Can you believe that someone claimed
that it's the people pointing out gold's manipulation that are helping to keep the POG down? Straight out of the Bill Clinton school of spin...
