Kind of a novel approach to apologize in advance and then accuse me of such things as wanting only literate male landowners to vote. LOL Don't worry though, I'm not upset about it.
As for the name calling regarding Harris, it came from many quarters and the language was the same from all, making it clear that it was a planned and directed strategy. Unfortunately these news sites don't seem to be indexed yet by the leading search engines, so I can't provide any links at the current time.
I have seen angry mobs protesting in Miami, courtesy of Mfume and Jackson, and angry mobs organized in Palm Beach to protest the butterfly ballots. Neither party is innocent, and I fail to see why you belive that one is pristine and the other is guilty.
Where we do agree, I believe, is that if my dark scenarios are to be avoided there must be some attempts at conciliation from both sides. If this divide just keeps getting wider, and neither party is willing to work with the other, what will the next 4 years be like?
BTW, I notice some early signs of challenging the integrity of the USSC. An article in today's paper suggests that Scalia should recuse himself since his son works for the same law firm as Ted Olson. The problem with this theory is that it would mean that Olson wouldn't be able to represent ANY clients in the USSC.
