You forgot machine error which sometimes does not read a valid vote. Even the manufacturer will tell you that. Of course there will be some no votes in the undervotes. But not all undervotes are no votes. It's infuriating to see so much useless and self-serving debate over how horrible recounts and standards are by the Republicans. They are commonly used in close elections and a little bit of common sense in determining whether or not the ballot reflects a clear intent is not rocket science. The Republicans have demonized it for their own purpose - to allow Bush to enter the Presidency via the back door rather than allow the voters to speak. And if this particular back door doesn't work for him, he is ready to allow the Florida legislature to try to open it for him.
