Excerpts:
AOL/TWX
Wit SoundView Online Media/Web Portal analyst Jordan Rohan, (212) 253-4450, reiterated his strong buy rating and $80.00 price target. Jordan’s earnings estimates remain unchanged at $0.71 for FY 00 and $1.42 for FY 01.

From Jordan’s am note:

We remain optimistic about the fundamentals for AOL Time Warner despite the challenging environment in online media, and equally difficult conditions in some parts of traditional media. Although this stance may seem contradictory or nonsensical at this juncture, given our pessimism about other media companies, both online and traditional, our rationale is based on the basic premise that: (i) AOL Time Warner is a truly differentiated media platform, and (ii) significant advertising deals with key consumer goods marketers will be announced after the close of the merger. In short, we believe that AOL Time Warner will increase market share significantly after the close of the merger.
