I'm not sure they were re-nominated by Jeb. I understood the process was that they stood for confirmation by the voters, no other candidate, just and up-or-down vote on whether they should stay on the Court.

Probably usually an ignored choice. Probably NOT an ignored choice the next time some of these justices come up!!
