If the Bush position were just about bias and standards, a court supervised strict standard would be a remedy. The only remedy they have asked for is no manual recounts because they say fair manual recounts are impossible. This does not accord with the practice of elections in this country until now. Manual recounts have been part of the process in contested elections.
