Of course, Scumbria. SPEC is an invalid benchmark. BAPCo is influenced by Intel (despite the less-than-stellar results of some of their benchmarks on Pentium 4). No one cares about Quake. Everyone uses an old, non-optimized version of 3D Studio MAX. People care about the speed of their spell check on Word 2000. The Athlon w/ 266 MHz bus is widely available. And finally, Gore invented the Internet.
