Yes, doc I agree with you. I would like to see a recount with a uniform, strict standard. The American public would see that was fair. The Broward County recount was partisan.

However, the Bush camp can only argue for the impossibility of fair recounts, since they know they would lose any recount, even with a strict & uniform standard, due to the slight but systematic skewing of the original vote count caused by the location of the old Votomatic machines in primarally Democratic districts.

If the USSC rules that manual recounts are essentially unconsitutional, that will be very sad for democracy.
