It seems to me that the Supremes' cleanest approach is to declare that the vague, "standardless," Florida manual re-count statute has to be thrown out as unconstitutional -- a violation of Article 2. All hand re-counts out, machine re-count is the final say.

Florida legislature will have to enact a new hand re-count statute in time for the next election.
