This thread is ridiculous. All agreeing with each other like GOP propaganda machines. What a waste of time for you all. Don't you see both sides are equal? Equally good arguments? Equal votes. Equal complaints. Equal court victories. Equal electoral votes. The GOP just has one more partisan in power, that being Harris which will probably give this to Bush by 1 electoral vote. Maybe. But it could just as easily go the other way in which case Gore would win by a "whopping" 20 electoral votes. From one POV Harris "stole" the election by slowing re-counting and rushing to certify. Deny that all you like but she's literally in bed with the Bushes. Clearly, if she had been a Gore supporter that wouldn't have happened.

I'm expecting Bush to win by the teensiest margin imaginable. Even the US SC can hardly make up their minds on this. The Fla SC had trouble too . What is law? All interpretation now. No side can claim the law is on its side really. No side can claim morality is totally on their side. The SC is in a very difficult position now. Nomatter what they do they piss off half the nation. It will probably come down to one GOP-appointed Judge handing it to Bush. AGain, partisan ship wins in the end by a hair.
Amazing. And if this ever goes to the legislatures again partisanship only will decide. That's democracy..err.. I mean republicanism. As the GOP loves saying now "We don't live in a democracy!" Maybe that's true as we're seeing. May not be fair but it's the way it is and this has to end sometime, somehow. Maybe it will even end today.

Looking forward, this should really wake up this country in many ways. Hard to predict but whoever the winner is might end up being the real loser in 2-4 years. I'd also expect that Bush might end up being the weakest and most forgettable, intellectually-challenged and ineffectual president since Rutherford B. Hayes. And if Cheney has another heart-attack this will weaken him further as Cheney will be the one we've really "elected" to run things.

Weird frigging election, that's all I can say.
We'd all like it to end though and for our stocks to continue rallying. At this point many of us are almost at the "who cares? point. They both seem like losers now. Or winners. Take your pick.
