O/T: National Post - Friedman vs. Mundell ... & holding Cdn Business Writers accountable
Sorry for the 'many' posts today, but the National Post is running a feature debate on 'exchange rate' management policy between Nobel laureates American monetarist Milton Friedman and Canada's own Robert Mundell. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but it looks good. See the following link:
nationalpost.com
BTW, there has been fairly consistent sentiment expressed amongst Wi-LAN investors about, well, 'shoddy' reporting on Wi-LAN by the national press - and in particular the National Post.
Perhaps it would be an interesting idea to set up a forum either on SI or S/H devoted to expressing opinions on national business/technology reporters - a means of holding them accountable if you will.
In any event, here's my initial shortlist of 'very good' and 'very bad':
1 - Globe&Mail, Matthew Ingram - very good
2 - National Post, Patrick Bloomfield - very good
3 - Canadian Business, Andrew Wahl - very good
4 - National Post, Duncan Stewart - highly dubious
Anyone care to comment on the quality of work of these, or other, Canadian business/tech writers?
