Mike, when the right FTTH model unleashes, nothing within the twisted pair or cable modem models will be comparable to it. We're talking about another dimension here.

Just as you don't think that the legacy regs should be applied to the newcomers, I, too, don't think that the legacy infrastructure models and the regulations which govern them, should be compared to FTTH.

FTTH will subsume all of that which is now doable within the other two models and permit the creation of a whole new vista of models that could never be matched by either of the former two. The problem today is getting folks to step up to the plate and take a swing at it. Little by little they are coming out of the woodwork. Give it another 18 months, and I feel confident that the right models will begin taking form.
