Gustav: You continue to be interesting, but alas, a bit long-winded and politically all over the map, or maybe just a little desparate to be heard.

Just a brief retort here: first, much of what you say stems from a HIGHLY speculative presumption of knowing the content of Gore's first call to Dubya-

Second, Europe has much less economic hegemony of Africa than you presume. And economic engagement with Africa is going to be WAY down the list for a Bush administration(unless it's SOUTH Africa) which is going to find itself busy with LOTS of other pressing matters with Europe, not to mention everywhere else.

Third, though Europe IS somewhat disturbed at the prospect of President Dubya, he is much preferred to ALOT of other Republicans they could have been stuck with.(Though the global warming thing IS going to be ever so sticky)

Fourth:If you think there's some attempted manipulation by Barak, spell it out.
