I don't have that kind of data, but, my impression is quite different. On a recent visit to circuit city I saw three different CPQ models, two HP models and several other brand models that had CD-RW drives. I would say that half the machines on their floor were configured that way. Almost all the rest had CD/DVD drives.

At any rate, I would be wary of any PC related stock until after the Christmas sales season is over and the results are in. I'm sure there is going to be some sort of short term rally from now into the beginning of January based upon election resolution.

But, I also think that reality is going to set in there after and for most tech stocks and for almost all PC stocks its going to be back to where they have been...

We'll see, the market certainly thinks that OAKT's fate is tied to the PC market. Its interesting to note that in the statement by the OAKT CEO he didn't say that they weren't tied to the PC market, he just said that sales were very good.
