Osha "we regard AMD as a more attractive opportunity than Intel (INTC; B-2-2-7; $37.44) at the current price, particularly for the long term."

This is my favorite line.

I am buying a new home (hopefully today) and must liquidate a huge percentage of my savings/investments. The only good thing about this slowdown is it will give me time to rebuild my cash reserve. Might not be AMD, but if I don't miss it, I would expect the Dells/Compaqs/AMDs/Intels will be great trading stocks next year.

BTW, my mortgage payment on a one year old custom home on a 1/2 acre lot in Phoenix (pool, all the upgrades we could ask for) will cost me less than my rent in San Francisco. My last apartment in the city went to $3,300 to the new guys (we paid a LOT less than that) - my landlord had a bidding war.

Regards,

Dave
