ISEE news: biz.yahoo.com just finished a lengthy telephone conversation with George Campbell, who wrote this release...and will share some info. The move by the board to spin off Emerging Vision's portal "trading exchange" will be done via IPO in order for existing shareholders to benefit. The development of the new B2B exchange (they're going to move away from the term "portal" because it doesn't accurately reflect their transaction-based business model) ..is on track, progressing as planned with a launch planed for early in the 2nd quarter.
MSFT is the key software player assisting and all of their strategic partners, including more soon to be announced, are behind their new launch schedule, in spite of the market in general having been disappointed when it didn't happen in Nov. as announced earlier in the year.
They had a show in Hong Kong in early Nov. which was very positive but these interested partners have yet to be announced. Cash is sufficient and they have not been approached by Nasdaq re a possible delisting to OTC (as I'm sure some people were concerned) ..although if it did happen, it is not a concern by management as their current stock price is more a result of overall market conditions.
