Yes, the libertarian wing of the Republican Party is alive & well, but you are right, one hears far more about the "religious right"... The libertarian wing would have more prominence and respect, IMO, if they were more outspoken that much of the agenda of the religious right is incompatible with the libertarian principle of personal freedom rather than cozying up to that scary bunch.
