MSU Corporation Hires McFarlane Gordon As Financial Advisor
Mr. Jean Belanger Appointed To the Board of Directors of MSU Corporation.
MILTON KEYNES, UK, Dec. 12 /PRNewswire/ - MSU Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: MUCP.OB - news), a developer and distributor of Web2U internet access devices,
today announced that it had hired McFarlane Gordon Inc., with offices in
Toronto, Ontario and Austin, Texas as its financial advisor. McFarlane Gordon
will advise the Company on re-structuring its current balance sheet
obligations and will assist the Company in raising the capital necessary to
fund the Company's operations on a forward basis.
The Company welcomes Mr. Jean Belanger of McFarlane Gordon, to the Board
of Directors of the Company. The Company intends to continue its development
of its low-cost Web2U-branded line of internet access devices and will
additionally begin to place a greater emphasis on making its devices
programmable by its partners and customers using industry standard tools.
Mr. Belanger has been with McFarlane Gordon since November 2000. From
September, 1999 to October, 2000, Mr. Belanger was Vice President, Business
Development of Motorola Inc.'s Semiconductor Products Sector. Mr. Belanger
joined Motorola SPS in 1999 following Motorola's successful acquisition of
Metrowerks Inc. Mr. Belanger was Chairman of Metrowerks from 1991 and CEO from
1996. Prior to 1991, Mr. Belanger was President and CEO of Micro Tempus Inc, a
mainframe software company. From 1986 to 1989 he was Chairman and CEO of
MontRoyal Capital Inc, a high-technology start-up venture capital company, and
prior to 1986 he was Vice-President of Wood Gundy Inc, an investment banking
company. Mr. Belanger obtained a B. Comm. from the University of Ottawa and an
MSc(Finance) from the London School of Economics.
Commenting on the appointment, Darran H. Evans, CEO of MSU Corporation,
stated: ``We welcome our new relationship with McFarlane Gordon and we
