It is true that I am less patient today. I do not feel that it is without context.

This has nothing to do with one man, one vote. If people fail to vote their ballots, no one can do it for them. That is why the only reasons to have a manual recount are credible allegations of fraud or machine malfunction. Only in this circumstance is a manual recount superior. Otherwise, the ballots reflect a vote of none of the above, or a failure to vote. Either way, there is no reason for a conjectural vote supposedly on the party's behalf. We vote by actual enumeration, not reasonable guesses. As Justice O'Connor suggested, marking one's ballot in conformity with the rules is an indisputable standard.......
