FON down from 71 to 23. Keep that perspective in mind.
Just because it goes up a point that's nothing assuming this market corrects upwards soon and there is a telco buy-out rage. One takeout and expect to see more. DT needs to make a move now that it has its billions in cash specifically raised for buy-outs of US companies. Of course it already bought a wireless company but it can do more.
VZ and SBC are the other two biggies. Their stocks held up during the sell-off.

Also look at LOR now at all-time low 2 bucks below book. It's satellites are #1 or #2 in the world. Huge fleet. Their value alone is three times the stock price. A huge dog thanks to G. Used to trade at $35 now 3-4. Lots of tax-loss selling on it has depressed it to ultra bargain level.
CEO announced recently that new alliance (cash partner) would be brought in. The stocks was at $6 then. A sure takeover play at some point. LOR cannot survive on its own for too much longer. And don't forget their satellite are a internet delivery system of the future. Globally.
