except in '98...that WAS a capitulation bottom. the Rydex ratio which now stands at 0,10 was at 2,00 back then for instance, and the specs were net short some 45,000 spoos.

historical range for the Rydex ratio is 0,08 (all time low, March this year) and the 2,00 of Oct. '98. so right now we're only 0,02 above the all time low if you can believe that. extraordinary complacency....
