Hey, folks, forget about Intel...AMD is not trying to compete with
Intel. AMD has a lot of niche products that Intel is not even
interested in bothering with. Intel has 83% of the high-margin
processor market. Intel is coming out with a new series of processors
that incorporate the sound and video peripherals right in the CPU. If
anybody has got to be worried about that, it's companies like Creative
Technologies...that CPU is said to be the death of SoundBlaster.

AMD does not depend on that stuff. You folks that keep harping on
Intel and the Pentium need to go to the AMD site and do a thorough
research on the products they make, the companies they supply, who's
making what, what kind of chips they use. Most of the "smart appliances" that are coming out do not use cpu's...check it out.

AMD vs. INTC -- GIVE IT A REST!

Either that or else sell AMD and buy INTC...I don't understand why
anyone would buy AMD if they think the only thing the company has
going for it is the battle with INTC. If you feel that way, then,
AMD is not a cheap stock. I do not feel that way...AMD has a good
pipeline of products and is a cheap stock in its own way. Holding
both stocks, AMD and INTC, is not a bad idea...different companies
with different markets and different strategies.
