Well I certainly wouldn't expect you to have sympathy for them.

But whether you believe it or not, there are reasonable areas of differences between the parties here, otherwise the courts would have granted Summary Judgement to one of the parties early on.

I have heard Reps say all the number of times the votes have been counted and the number has steadily increased. To be sure, the vast majority of the ballots have been machine counted twice and a number have also been hand counted.

Nevertheless, the stubborn fact is this: There exists ballots in FL that have never been subjected to a review by hand, as allowed for by FL law and the law in most of the states. That cannot be denied. One can argue the standard to be used for such hand review and even impose strict standards. What I must applaud the Bush legal team for is their superior skills, vis-a-vis Gore's lawyers, in convincing the courts of this land (and a majority of the people as well) that the absence of standards is justification for ignoring all those ballots that could not be recorded via machine tabulation. In effect, they have used a non sequitor to secure the election for their client.

I give the devil its due.

Sweet irony would now be for that self-admitted political hack, Bob Beckel, to find those three Bush electors.

There's more than one way to buy CSCO for a dollar.
