Thread;

The press release stated in part, "Revenue for the fourth quarter is expected to be between $11.2 billion and $11.4 billion, 8 to 10 percent below expectations,". Well, that equates to about a $1 billion shortfall in revenues this quarter!! Wasn't it within the last week or so that MC said that he didn't see any red flags and that cpq customers were not cutting back on IT spending and that IT spending would be the last area to be cut - apparently said in response to the hwp comments and the analysts' communitiy's refusal to believe Fiorina? This will hurt MC's credibility big time! He also stated that thanksgiving sales were robust! And don't forget that cpq only has 19% sales in consumer pcs! They must be getting killed!! To have 1 billion in sales evaporate (most of which is at the consumer pc level) tells me that cpq is in deep doodoo.
