I realize that I'm new to this thread, so I hope I don't come across as an intruder. I'd like to know what you thought of Scalia's opinion released on Saturday.

I've rarely read a piece as poor as Scalia's reasoning for the stay, most importantly "irreputable harm done to Bush from the manual recount" is a political matter and not a legal one. I thought the court lost the respect of academics and scholars for their political undertones. Are these old men thinking about running for office?
