Veteran Hill Holliday Executive Joins Global Network's Board
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 12, 2000--Further strengthening its slate of directors, Global Network Incorporated (OTCBB:GNNU - news) announced today that David Altschiller has joined its Board of Directors.
Mr. Altschiller is Chairman of the New York division of Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, one of the leading advertising agencies in the United States, and a division of the Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. (NYSE:IPG - news), a $13.5 billion firm. Mr. Altschiller founded an agency that in 1977 became Hill, Holliday/Altschiller and now represents leading Fortune 100 companies and high tech firms including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Fidelity, and Cisco.
Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Altschiller has created some of the most famous advertising campaigns for companies such as Pan Am, Hertz, Fiat, Federal Express and IBM. As a writer, he has been awarded the industry's highest awards, including being nominated to the Creative Hall of Fame. For 12 consecutive years, Mr. Altschiller was voted one of the Top Ten Copywriters in America and he is the single largest award-winner in the history of advertising' most prestigious show, the One Show. He is also two-time President of the Advertising Writers' Association of New York. Lending his experience to advertising executives of the future, Mr. Altschiller has taught advertising at several universities including NYU and Pratt. For the past 25 years, he has been a visiting professor to the masters program in advertising at Syracuse University.
