It was merged into Dominion Securities in 1982 and later became RBC Dominion Securities. During his 14 years at RBC, Don rose to the position of senior vice president, served as a member of the Chairman's Council for 11 years and sat on the Investment Advisor Council. Don left in 1996 to establish Gordon Private Client Corporation, a subsidiary of Gordon Capital Corporation, where he was managing director and a senior member of the Advisory Committee. When the firm was acquired by HSBC Securities Canada in 1999, Don remained at the newly amalgamated company until he co-founded McFarlane Gordon Inc. at the beginning of this year. Don has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.
