It was truly 5 to 4. the majority decision is full of it- had the florida supreme court set standards then they would have been criticized for acting like a legislature. besides if those bozos felt that standards should be imposed why did they not mandate that the first time they remanded it back to the florida supreme court. All of a sudden the supreme court is criticising the florida legislature that "voter intent " is not a sufficient standard. If they are so concerned about equal voter protection why did they not mandate uniformity across all states of voter machines. duhhh!
Not only is the presidency now tainted but the supreme court as well. Those five will not be well regarded by history. They have disgraced themselves.
The argument that there isn't enough time- duh, who halted the recount on friday? Its one thing to lose an election cleanly, its another when the umpires are calling balls sailing by your ears as strikes.
