Trying to win a national election by cherry picking Democratic strongholds for additional votes freed Pandora & allowed the chaos machine to run amuck. Gore choose the wrong path from the get go & made wrong turns at every juncture, IMVHO. Bush won the original & state required recount. He had absolutely no reason to protest/contest anything. All he needed to do was to work to see that the Rule of Law was followed. IMVHO, Bush did exactly that. People are going to continue to live with their personal bias & their perception of this event will be their reality...... regardless of the facts. That's my story & I'm sticking to it. Ö¿Ö
