It is a shame this guy is still the CEO.>> I think the best that can be said about Jerry is that he's consistent. Consistently a weasel. If Dirk Meyer exhibited the same kind of company-wounding character flaws that Jerry displays, it'd still be worth it given what Dirk brings to the table (e.g., the one area where AMD's performance is breath taking - CPU design). Jerry isn't the only problem AMD has, certainly, but when you're swimming in rough seas, having a cement block chained around your neck doesn't help. Bring on Hector Ruiz, please. Or change the name of the company to Krazy Klown Komputer Kompany in the interests of truth-in-advertising. Although somewhat hyperbolic, the analogy that comes to mind is having the world's best engineered spaceship, but you have a chimp at the controls. You just end up praying he just doesn't touch anything important. <g> End of rant.
