Quit dissing Birkenstocks.

I wear Birkenstocks every day. The full shoe style (Dexter), but with the Birkenstock shape and cork sole. It's the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. After several years of daily use I finally wore out the soles (my Birkenstock dealer said it was the first pair of soles he'd ever had to replace) and now they're like new again. I may never buy another pair of shoes in my life.

I wear them everywhere during the week, including in court. Don't wear them on weekends, though -- still enough life left in my ancient Rockports to survive the weekend battering.

But you dis Birkenstocks at your peril!
