Do you take this to mean this is NOK's target date to have their own, home grown, 1XRTT chips? If so, this means they will be at least 1+ years behind QCOM (Spinco). Yes?

I think the target date is for production of an internally developed 1xrtt handset. This was the identical date that was given during the July Nokia conference call.

I listened to the conference and there wasnt too much that was new. They reiterated their comittment to the CDMA market (want to be #1) and continued to emphasize the strengths that their economies of scale would provide. They will be introducing models into the Korean market (from Telson) during the 1Q of next year.

One interesting stat....more than 1m (but less than 2m) 5185i's have been shipped to Verizon.
