New Day Dawning David, If the standard for recounting is/was the West Palm Beach standard...than Gore has/will lose. It should be the West Palm Beach standard.....because it is the only standard that reflects the "CLEAR" intent of the voter. This is over, David. You are my friend. If you were here.....there would have been a big Omaha Steak for you.....a bunch of Coronas.....and a pair of socks! The Commission members who made it to my little clam bake tonight are pounding the table....and cleaning out my liquor supply. I'm being take to the cleaners as I post this. I want you to know that it is not so much because of who won this thing...but more the fact that it is over. The Democrats can go after the Bush electors...and/or come back strong in 2002...and 2004.....But for now...it is over. This is what is best for the markets...and for Identix. You and I both know that the DNC never should have taken it past the second machine count. After I sleep this off....and hear the magic words form Al Gore....I'm headed to the stores to pump this economy up. Next week we may get our COMDEX? bg ps.
