Just read the Supreme Court decision in its entirety - including the dissenting opinions (despite getting recognition for the best quote Justice Stevens' dissenting opinion seems clouded).

I would encourage all to read it (it's not too hard - I did it) including the dissenting opinions.

These folks have some vastly different opinions about what is fair - just like the rest of the country.

My reading of the dissenting opinions suggests they believe December 12 is not carved in stone as a drop dead date for choosing electors and that it would be better for USSC to direct FSC to interpret a standard for what constitutes a legal vote and have ALL votes in the state recounted by December 18.

Given the instructions on the ballot (that I only learned of today) I think you could count hanging chads and not dimpled or pregnant chads.

Likely this would yield an unequivocal Bush victory.

Wouldn't that be much healthier than what we've got?
