Blacks are very unhappy with some of the troubles they had voting in Florida. The GOP can forget about the black vote for a long time. I'm sure the Dems didn't want to re-run the Civil Rights Era though so they chose not to focus on those legal complaints. If you know Florida, you know it's had a long history of voter abuse and corruption. Made for a lot of confusion, fear and distrust on both sides.
In another state this would have proceeded in a much more d trustworthy fashion. I don't think any of us really trust anything anyone's been saying down there for the last few weeks. Whoever wins inherits a stink-bomb presidency. Whoever loses is probably finished too because they conjur up bad memories. Gore wasn't such a great candidate anyway. The Dems won't miss him much. And Nader will be the real scapegoat. He's history too. Maybe everyone involved in this will be history in four years. BUT LET'S RALLYYYY!!!!
