Al The Stupid lost.
Al is dumber in directing the legal tactics of selective advantage
in that Al won on the surface battles and LOST THE WAR on the MERITS
OF FAIRNESS. The dumb proposal of selectively attempting to devine
the intent of folks to STUPID to follow simple instructions. Al,
and dumber than dumb Joe wasted time protesting stupidity.

Facts of the decision.

The major point that's rules is that you cannot change law after
the Nov 7. In Palm beach, the law of Nov 7 was you have to have
at least a hanging chad to devine a vote of a dumb voter. Thus
this is the minimun standard that would have to apply statewide
as a dumb voter let it go rule. To do otherwise would deny equal
protection to the truly seriously stupid voter and change the
Nov 7 law in effect.

So using the laws of allowing certain stupidity in effect on Nov 7.
400 to 500 or so votes from Broward would never have happened.
Several dozen Palm beach votes would not have happened..
Using this standard and any sane probability statistics there is
no possibility of Gore winning unless you believe that the Pope
is not a catholic or you are just plain really really stupid.

As an engineer who has authored several extensive designs I know that
the findings of the Supreme Court that the process of recounting with
rules and process that would not violate the law of Nov 7 could not
be put in place in any timeframe of less than weeks if not months.

So in the end Al and Joe stupidly could not see the limit of stupidity
and tried and failed to fool all the people this time.
