Agree. At the present time there is no mandate by either candidate. I think there is practically no debate on this issue. So, while your argument is sound, don't be surprised if you find no one to disagree with you.

Bush, even without a mandate, is not one that I would label as being along the extreme right. He would have reached out to Democrats regardless of the election results, but will now do so more strenuously in light of the close election not only to build a workable political base, but also to heal the country following this divisive period.
