*OT* What I found strange in the ruling was basically that they all agreed that the Fla Supremes were wrong and the recount was unconstitutional but seemed to want to order a recount and just felt they were constrained by the time line. I read the judgement as we think there should be a recount but there is no way to do one unless we re-write the law after the fact which is also wrong.

I even made a note on our board that you would be able to do a class on this ruling today. <ggg>

Futures are jumping all over. They ramped the holy living snot out of them about a half hour ago and I thought we were going to have a mania open then they slowly eroded back down, now they are spiking up slightly again. Are we seeing shorts covering but no real buying or what is with these spikes all night then slow drops back down?

I am hearing on the tube that Gore is looking for a way to make it look like he has a chance so he will look like he had a way out but "chose" to concede rather than being backed in a corner and having no choice. Why doesn't he just admit it. Sleazy even in defeat just like daddy Bill Clinton. I can hear it now, " I absolutely did not lose this election." But Al, we have DNA evidence...

Good Luck,

Lee
