abstract...."there is no joy in mudville...."

reality check....

have faith in the average american, which is what most of the populace is.....

after casey struck out, mudville was disheartened....... but the temporarily distraught mudville fans had the common sense, based in reality, to realize, that although this game or season was over, another game would begin, a new season will unfold, and always the opportunity to hear the cry of "play ball".....

you forget there was a sequel to "casey at bat"....

the conclusion is not as earth shaking as many want you to believe...politics by its very nature is partisan, and until it becomes a monolith one will always hear cries from the other side of the aisle....

it's over, and as the beatles sang "life goes on"....

more important things to worry about...like a-rod getting a quarter bil from the rangers...will he perform?

american attention span is very limited.....unless they are directly affected
