John, Intel's conservative tone did not arise from a lack of PR expertise, rather, I suspect, Grove/Barret are trying to learm from Bill Gates re. eps forecast. Bill has steadfastly downplayed the EPS game, and now Wall Street simply has given up on him and taken all negative announcements (by MSFT) as positive ones. Now, that is true brilliance for you. I personally think this is the right approach to follow by taking the eps expectations out of the landscape. Afterall, why should those analysts wield so much power?--what did they eve contribute anyway, except to service their big, fat private clients? Ibexx
