Eric, The Democrats need him to fall on his sword. The Republicans certainly want the Democrats to believe that is the case. The feeble minded Democrats will probably fall right into the trap. The USSC court ruling was corrupt, and should not be allowed to stand. “The court, along partisan and ideological lines, voted to run out the clock on the election,” said a senior adviser who pointed out that the court had about two weeks to give the Florida Supreme Court guidance on the matter and never did. “It’s very clear a partisan five-vote majority constructed a way to hand the election to George Bush.” Justices John Paul Stevens, David Souter, Stephen Breyer and Ruth Bader Ginsburg dissented. In a blistering dissent, Stevens said, “Although we may never know with complete certainty the identity of the winner of this year’s presidential election, the identity of the loser is perfectly clear. It is the nation’s confidence in the judge as an impartial guardian of the law.” Giving in to this would be a worse crime than the perpetrators committed. Scalia should be prosecuted. Scumbria
