Instead of taking over health care, perhaps the government could nationalize the legal profession.

Set pay at teachers levels (with annual increases at 100% CPI).

Tell them exactly what kind of law they will practice, and provide them with a list of clients.

Outlaw law firms because they lead to unfair competition.

Require lots of paperwork before they can get paid.

Set strict controls on the legal advice they can prescribe to their client.

All law school graduates will be required to provide 2 years of community servce (determined by someone in washington).
