I call myself moderate, although I have never voted for a Democrat in the presidential race.

The thing that disturbs me most is the division along "group" lines. The most disturbing of these is race. I believe we are quickly heading for a situation where the breach will become too wide to ever close - kind of like the Arab-Jew problems of the Mideast.

I believe "my" party needs to make some concessions in this area. I just don't know what they are. I was heartened to see that in Texas, where Bush is better known, Bush was able to get 30% of black votes. I hope that race issues are a top priority in the Bush White House.

My other suggestion would be for Bush to pardon Bill Clinton should the need arise.
