I await Bush's speech tonight, which I think will be gracious.

An article posted on the threads early this morning suggested that Bush should pardon Clinton if the latter is indicted. I agree with this. It would be a good move to put aside partisanship.

The radical elements of the Democratic party will do everything, within the next few months at least, to attack Bush and the Republicans. No one knows how effective they will be, but I suspect they will wear out their welcome in due course.

Of more immediate concern is Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and their ilk. They do so much to inhibit the advancement of black people, but they must answer some need their followers have. It will take a lot of work and a lot of trust, but this needs to be addressed.
